The Supreme Court today has taken up the issue of non-implementation of Bifurcation Promises made to both the Telugu States. This petition was filed by Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy asking the court to direct the center to implement the promises.
The Supreme Court today became serious on the Central Government for failing to implement the promises even four years after the state division. It has given four weeks time for the counsel of the Central Government to give a detailed explanation.
The matter will be taken up by the Apex Court after four weeks. It is better that AP and Telangana Government become parties to this petition. It is interesting to see what the Central Government tells the court on this and if the Supreme Court issues any time-bound instructions many problems will be solved.
