In what would can be called as a sudden and unexpected twist, Prakasam ZP elections could go TDP’s way now. YSR Congress Markapur ZPTC member Venkata Ranga Reddy was arrested a short while ago near Addanki. He was in Hyderabad as a part of camp arranged by YSR Congress and was returning to Ongole for the elections. Police have taken him in to custody near Addanki.
The arrest was made in a SC atrocity case. This case was pending on Ranga Reddy for a long time on a complaint of an SC woman. With this arrest, the supporters of YSR Congress were reduced to 27 while Telugu Desam Party is at comfortable 28. Unless some surprise springs up, Prakasam ZP will go Telugu Desam Party’s way. The election will take place in a short while.
