Strict and Enhanced Lockdown in TelanganaAfter a marathon Cabinet Meeting for Four Hours, Telangana Government had decided to extend the Lockdown till May 7th, four days more than what the Central Government announced. The Cabinet also decided all the relaxations that are given by the Central Government from tomorrow also stands canceled.

Telangana will be under curfew in the nights. The cabinet will meet once again on May 5th and will decide on the future course of action. “The safety of the people will be paramount. If necessary, the Lockdown will be further to be extended till May-end,” the Chief Minister said.

The state government also banned the food delivery apps like Swiggy and Zomato with effect from April 20th. Until now, they are functioning under reduced timings. Ahead of Ramzan, the Chief Minister also reiterated that mass prayers will not be allowed.

As per the latest bulletin, 18 new Coronavirus cases were registered in Telangana in the last 24 hours. That takes the total cases to 858. There are twenty-one fatalities so far. !86 people have discharged and that takes the total active cases to 651. The Chief Minister says that things are likely to come to control in the state by May 1st.
