ys-jaganThe Special Status issue had ensured a stormy start to the three days Assembly Session of Andhra Pradesh. The leader of Opposition, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and come out of NDA government to uphold the self-respect of Five Crore Andhra People.

The Opposition Leader demanded a discussion on the issue. The government clarified that it will be making an announcement on the Central Package in the house and will then take all the objections from the parties. But YSR Congress would not listen and their MLAs stormed into the well raising slogans.

Subsequently, the house had to get adjourned for two times. On the other side, opposition parties in the Council staged a walkout as a dissent for the Center’s refusal of the Special Status. The repercussions of the issue began as protests are taking place in several parts of the state against an insensitive center.
