Stern Investigation Going on in The Death of KCR's Pet Dog?G Srinivasa Rao, an RTI activist from Dilsukhnagar filed an RTI application with Banjara Hills Police Station to furnish the FIR filed over the death of the domestic dog, Huski which belongs to Chief Minister KCR. It is known that the dog died after a brief illness the last month.

Upon the complaint by Pragathi Bhavan Staff, Dr. Lakshmi and Dr Ranjit of Animal Care Clinic at Road number 4, have been booked on charge of ‘playing mischief by killing an animal’ (Indian Penal Code section 429 and section 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act (Willful and unreasonable administration of any injurious drug or injurious substance to animal).

The Inspector of Banjara Hills Police refused to furnish FIR saying that the disclosure would impede the process at the investigation or it may influence the fair investigation. Citing the above reasons, the RTI application has been rejected.

Already filing of the case caused enough embarrassment for the Chief Minister’s Office, the officials may have thought not to embarrass further by revealing the FIR.
