Things are happening on expected lines. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has appointed his son, K Taraka Ramarao as the Working President of the party. This elevation makes the internal hierarchy within TRS crystal clear and this seems to be the first step in making KTR as the next Chief Minister of the State.
While KCR is busy with national politics for the next few months, KTR can micromanage affairs in Telangana and eventually emerge as successor in party and government authority structure. Political Experts have expected this move but then it is surprising that it has happened even before the cabinet took oath indicating that KCR is in a hurry.
Many believe that KCR’s Talk about the National Politics itself is a ploy to elevate KTR. The Plan is to KCR shift to Delhi and later claim that he is too busy to handle the state and so give the reins to KTR. However, this will come as a huge disappointment to Harish Rao who worked really hard for the party since its inception.
The plan of elevating KTR is very much on cards since the 2014 election victory. KCR intelligently readied the ground by elevating KTR as much as possible by keeping him in the media glare. He is appointed as incharge to the elections which got media attention and the victories were put into his account. It has to be seen how Harish Rao responds to this.
