Starting Problems for Sub - Committee on Notes Ban?Union Government had announced forming a sub-committee with Five Chief Ministers to tackle the hassles being faced by the people post Demonetization. The committee will be headed by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu will have four other Chief Ministers – Narayana Swamy (Puducherry), Nitish Kumar (Bihar), Manik Sarkar (Tripura) and Shivraj Singh Chouhan (Madhya Pradesh).

Shivraj Singh Chouhan being a BJP CM and Chandrababu Naidu, a strong ally of BJP will be taking part but there are apprehensions from other Chief Ministers. Narayana Swamy being a Congress Chief Minister told the Center that he can not confirm his participation without the approval of the party high command.

Manik Sarkar who is a CPM Chief Minister distanced himself from the committee saying that he has no experience in technical issue and also CPM is opposing the committee idea itself. Nitish Kumar is a strong supporter of the Notes Ban but has his own apprehensions about participating.

Amid all these confusions, the center is planning the first meeting of the sub-committee on December 2nd and is hoping to resolve all the issues to ensure the meeting happens as per plan. But then these Chief Ministers have enough problems back home due to the Demonetization, we will have to see how far they can balance both the priorities.
