Starbucks Indian CEO Laxman NarasimhanStarbucks’ new CEO Laxman Narasimhan has shared that he will take a turn as a barista once a month. Indian-origin Laxman Narasimhan has become the CEO recently and he has spent time knowing the company during which he got barista certification.

Incidentally, barista certification requires 40 hours of training in stores and he has completed it. Narasimhan says this exercise would help him stay close to the company’s culture, customers, challenges, and opportunities. Also, he has stated that he will be a ‘fierce advocate’ for the company’s partners and culture.

Barista is a person who serves in a coffee bar and Narasimhan has said that he has experienced every aspect of the business and has truly learned what it is to wear the green apron. He thanked the baristas who welcomed him into the stores and helped him deeply understand what they do, how they do it, and the challenges and opportunities facing the chain.
