Stalling-of-Amaravati-to-have-Massive-Repercussions-Across-the-CountryThe Projects in Amaravati have come to a standstill ever since YS Jagan Mohan Reddy assumed Power in Andhra Pradesh. YSR Congress has been alleging massive irregularities including Insider Trading from the days of its Opposition and brought all the works to a stop.

There are reports that the present government wants to change the Capital to Donakonda where YSR Congress leaders bought massive land tracts before 2014 elections expecting the Capital to come there. Meanwhile, the farmers who have given their lands to the Capital are in a dilemma about their future.

The then Telugu Desam Party Government was able to pool in around 33000 acres as a part of its land pooling system. It is the first-ever in Independent India farmers have agreed to part their lands in lieu of developed plots. The Land Pooling System has garnered the attention of the entire country that even the Government of India and Several State Governments have tried to implement the System.

But then, the latest developments in Andhra Pradesh have come as a shock to everyone. Jagan Reddy Government is being accused of even not paying the annual amount that is promised to the farmers. The failure of this model in Amaravati will mean that farmers across the country will never agree to part their lands in exchange of developed plots. This will only increase the land acquisition woes and stall several development projects.
