KCR, KCR Gajwel Irrigation Project, KCR Gajwel Micro Irrigation Project, KCR Medak Micro Irrigation Project, KCR Narasannapeta Irrigation Project, KCR Special Micro Irrigation ProjectTelangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao seems to be going an extra mile to bring joy to his constituency people, an RTI query revealed. The Chief Minister reportedly roped in a Gujarat-based company to execute a special micro-irrigation project worth Rs 49.89 crore for select farmers belonging to his two adopted villages – Errabelli and Narasannapeta in Gajwel assembly constituency,

Even though, the villages in Jagdevpur Mandal in Medak district figure in the state’s official list of 231 drought-hit mandals, the other drought-hit mandals of the state do not have such privilege. The G.O. is not made public in the government G.O.s site for obvious reasons but is obtained by the RTI query.

There is a criticism of the Chief Minister for going an extra mile in the name of political benefit. Political observers say it is good that he is helping the drought hit villages but throwing norms to the winds by secretly selecting the agency to execute the project sets a bad precedent when other mandals equally deserve attention.
