Special Statuus  Union Minister Nithyananda RaiFighting for special category status has been one of the principal promises of YCP chief YS Jagan. But there has been absolutely Zero progress on this front since he came to power.

Today, the union minster, Nithyananda Rai has confirmed that the special status is a closed chapter for Andhra Pradesh.

In response to the question from YCP MP Balasouri regarding the special status, the union minister stated that it is a closed chapter.

The minister added that the decision has been taken with the report from the 14th Finance Commission i in consideration. He added that the special status has been replaced with special package.

The minister added that Rs 15.81 crore has been allotted to Andhra Pradesh through this special package.

Well, this brings an end to the special status to Andhra Pradesh dream. It has to be seen how the government of Andhra Pradesh will react to the same.
