Speaker confirms voting on Telangana bill!

Finally the suspense is over. Speaker Nadendla Manohar confirmed that there will be a voting on Andhra Pradesh Reorganization bill-2013 after the discussion in the house. However, Speaker refused to move a motion on Samayikya Andhra. YSR Congress MLAs demanded that voting should be taken first and discussion next. However, Nadendla made it clear that house will follow the traditional procedure and there will be a voting after the discussion. Displeased with this, YSR Congress staged a walkout from Assembly as a mark of protest.

All the states which are previously bifurcated in the country had the bifurcation bills moved in their respective assemblies. However, this may not be possible in the case of Telangana bills as Seema Andhra MLAs are more in number in the house. We will have to see if President goes on with bifurcation even with out the mandate of the assembly.
