So-Much-For-the-Claims-of-BJP-Being-Non-Lenient-to-CorruptionSocial Media alleges that BJP often makes tall claims about being non-lenient to Corruption but when it comes to showing that commitment, they lack so much. A fine example of that is the recent Cabinet Expansion in BS Yediyurappa in Karnataka. The Chief Minister has appointed mining baron Anand Singh as the Forest Minister.

Singh has over a dozen cases pending against him, including serious offenses under the Karnataka Forest Act. According to his election affidavit that he filed for his December 2019 byelection, the Vijayanagar MLA has shown 15 cases pending against him.

These are offenses under the Indian Penal Code and the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act to be read with violations of the Karnataka Forest Act. Singh is a former associate of Tainted Mining Baron Gali Janardhan Reddy. He was already arrested twice in Mining related cases.

Social Media redicules that Yediyurappa has set a thief to catch a thief.
