Veteran political leader Sai Pratap Reddy contested to Rajampet Parliament seven times and won six times. During his prime, he is said to be a close confidante of the Late YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
After YSR’s demise, Sai Pratap started becoming irrelevant. He did not sail with Jagan like YSR’s close aides like KVP.
In 2014, he joined TDP but struggled to get along with the party. He came back to Congress in 2019 and was appointed as in-charge of the Coordination Committee.
But he is inactive in the old party as well. With no hopes of redemption from Congress, Sai Pratap is no longer interested in electoral politics but wants to set something for his son-in-law, Sai Lokesh.
He wants Sai Lokesh to take over Rajampeta from BJP. Sai Lokesh is already active in BJP.
Sai Pratap wants to get his Rajampeta MP ticket and ensure he wins with the contacts he has in the constituency.
But then, it is a mystery how he expects that to happen with BJP having no presence and future in Andhra Pradesh.
It looks like Sai Pratap’s political mistakes continue!
