Former Minister YS Vivekananda Reddy’s case took a major twist today. The Supreme Court directed the CBI to change the SIT investigating the case and also instructed to change the main investigation officer, Ram Singh too.
CBI agreed to disband the entire SIT. CBI AIG KR Chaurasia will lead the new team. The Apex Court asked the CBI to complete the investigation by April 30th.
We have seen YSR Congress and the accused making allegations against the investigation officer. Private cases were also filed to trouble Ram Singh. That very much indicates the accused are not happy with Ram Singh.
We do not know yet how the investigation will progress with the new investigation officer but YSR Congress and the other accused will be relieved.
Even though the Supreme Court asked to complete the investigation by April 30th, it is not possible as the new team has to start its work and understand the case before making any progress.
The Supreme Court also agreed to consider the bail petitions of the accused since there is a delay in the investigation.
