Former External Minister Sushma Swaraj has passed away a little while ago. She was shifted to AIIMS after a heart attack but to of no use. Sushma who has won hearts during her tenure as the External Minister by being extremely responsive for those in distress did not contest in the last election citing health issues.
She was not nominated to the Upper house as well bring curtains to her illustrated career. There were reports a couple of months ago that she will be appointed as the Governor of Andhra Pradesh but that did not happen. She last tweeted a few hours ago thanking the Prime Minister for the Kashmir solution.
Hailing from RSS Background, She had been elected seven times as an MP and three times as an MLA. At the age of 25 in 1977, she became the youngest cabinet minister of Harayana and also served as the Fifth Chief Minister of Delhi for a few months in 1998. She was only the second woman to be the External Affairs Minister after Indira Gandhi.
