There is a strong buzz in Political circles that YSR Congress Honourary President YS Vijayamma will be fielded as an MLA from Narasaraopeta. The rumours goes like Jagan is trying to make the current MLA from YSRCP, Gopireddy Srinivas Reddy to resign and make Vijayamma to contest from there. It is said that going by the progress in various cases of the CBI and ED, Jagan sense a danger of having to go to jail once again and do not want to leave the party in some one’s hand.
Interestingly several YSR Congress leaders in Narasaraopeta are confirming this news as well. They say the current MLA shelled out huge money in the last election and is in severe financial troubles, he is reportedly ready to resign as MLA provided all his election expenses are paid back by Jagan. Earlier there were rumours that Vijayammaa will be contesting in Allagadda bi-election but was taken back since it may back fire. Now this Narasaraopeta may well be another gamble if true particularly as the ruling party is also strong here. In the last elections, YS Vijayamma contested for Vishakapatnam parliament and lost the seat with more than one Lakh votes difference. Vijayamma almost stood aloof from politics since then.
