In a shocking turn of events, a family of four was kidnapped by a person against their will from a business in the 800 block of South Highway 59 in the south Merced area of the county. The Central Valley family of four including an 8-month-old child was kidnapped by an armed and dangerous person, the local sheriff’s office said.
The family has been identified as 8-month-old Aroohi Dheri, her 27-yr-old mother Jasleen Kaur, her father Jasdeep Singh, and her uncle Amandeep Singh.
The sheriff’s office has managed to grab two pictures of the person they believe to be the abductor. He is said to have a shaven head and was wearing a hoodie at the time. Speaking to a local news channel, the office said the abductors destroyed evidence to cover their tracks. Till now, the abductors haven’t made any demands or quoted any ransom.
For now, it is unclear if the family knew the kidnapper. However, the sheriff’s office is seeking information from the public and a massive hunt has been on by the detectives.
