Going into the story, a class 10 girl from Hayatnagar, Hyderabad was molested by 5 of her classmates. They then threatened the girl not to speak to anyone about what happened, saying they would leak the videos on social if she did.
10 days later, the 5 individuals assaulted and molested the poor girl again. Later, they shared these videos with their friends and that’s how the shocking incident came to light.
The family members of the victim filed a police complaint upon learning about what had happened. The police have filed rape charges and a POCSO case against the culprits.
Child abuse and POCSO cases are growing at an alarming rate and it is really disturbing. It is high time that governments take stringent measures to curb the same.
