Shoba Nagi Reddy is not amid us now but she will be contesting this election. Wonder how? The election commission had encountered a strange problem now. As YSR Congress is not a recognized party, Allagadda election will not be postponed according to the rules. As the nominations time is already over, YSR Congress could not field a new candidate now and at the same time rules will not permit to remove Shoba’s name from the EVMs.
So, her name will remain on the EVMs. If some one casts vote to that option, it will not be considered. Even if ‘Shobha Nagi Reddy/Fan symbol’ gets the maximum number of votes, it is not considered and the candidate with next highest number of votes will be declared as the winner. Political analysts say this is first of its kind happening in any election in India after the independence. So, YSR Congress will start one less from Seema Andhra.
