Few days ago, BJP Senior Leader Somu Veerraju went on to say Actor Shivaji do not belong to BJP party and his comments may not be attributed to that of the party. Shivaji off late is voicing his opinions on the need of Special Status and various packages to the state. Even though he is not directly mentioning BJP, the comments are hitting the saffron party which is in the power at the center.
Shivaji finally responded on Somu Veerraju’s comments, “I joined BJP in the presence of Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu before the elections. I even attended the national council meeting held in New Delhi last year and the party’s State-level meeting held in Vijayawada. Why am I allowed to the party programmes, if I am not a member of the party. I will just ignore those baseless comments”.
Shivaji extensively campaigned for BJP in the 2014 elections. Currently he is balancing his time for movies and politics. He is conducting round table conferences across the state on various problem plaguing the state after the bifurcation.
