There are rumors for quite some time that YS Sharmila is offended by her brother, AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, and will be floating her own party in Andhra Pradesh to teach him a lesson. YSR Congress and its affiliated media have been in denial mode over this.
But it looks like something is happening behind the scenes. She has dropped a hint about it in a media interaction. “Are you going to start a political party in Andhra Pradesh?,” the media asked Sharmila. She almost replied in the affirmative.
“Anyone can start a political party anywhere. There is no rule one should not start a political party in Andhra Pradesh,” the YSR Telangana Party leader said. Did she drop an indirect hint already? We will know in the coming days. This has been first foretold by ABN Radhakrishna.
But then, YSR Congress-affiliated media rubbished it as wishful thinking. It was ABN who got it right about Sharmila’s own party in Telangana. YSR Congress was in denial mode even then. It has to be seen if ABN Radhakrishna will be right once again. If Sharmila comes to AP politics, it will be a big embarrassment for Jagan Mohan Reddy. She can also split some votes of the Reddy and Christian community.
