ys-sharmila-odarpuYSR Congress President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his party is all set for the final attempt to revive the party in Telangana state. Jagan’s sister will be leading this attempt by beginning her Paramarsa yatra from December 8. Paramarsa Yatra is the extension of Jagan’s Odarpu Yatra, in which Sharmila will console families of those who reportedly died of shock following the death of their father and former Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh YS Rajasekhara Reddy in 2009.

Before the elections, Jagan only could cover the Khammam district of Telangana and Sharmila will now be covering the remaining 9 districts. Following the state division, YSR Congress’ Pro-Samayikya Andhra stand almost killed in the party in the newest state of the country.

The party managed to win Khammam MP and 3 MLAs – all of them in settlers base in Khammam district. The party had already lost two of its MLAs to the ruling TRS party. This Paramarsa Yatra of Sharmila is the final attempt of the party to see if it can regain its strength there. To prevent conflict of interest between the two states, Jagan is staying away from this yatra and the state.
