BJP led Central Government always boasts of giving several Central Institutions to Andhra Pradesh but then they are left without any allocations. The state government had allotted land to almost all institutions and built compound walls around them.
But then, the Central Government is not keen on taking them beyond that. The state is requesting the Center to at least give bank guarantee to lend money for creating its infrastructure. Most of the institutions will at least take 10-15 years to complete at this pace.
The majority of these institutes have started classes in rented buildings at temporary campuses and the Center had prepared Detailed Project Reports (DPR) for these projects. But then, there is no much excitement about these institutes due to the lack of proper infrastructure.
Despite several persuasions, Andhra Pradesh government could not get things moving. This only exposes the shallow claims of BJP about abundantly helping Andhra Pradesh. BJP and TDP will have some tough questions to answer when they go for elections in 2019.
