Tuesday morning, armed militants with paramilitary uniform entered the army-run school and started pumping bullets into the innocents’ quivering bodies. Naive kids are drooping down dead in heaps. Sixteen year old Shahrukh Khan was shot on both his legs below knees. Horror stricken, Shahrukh Khan hid himself under a bench acting dead with a tie thrusted into his mouth to stop from screaming out of terror and pain.
He could hear the terrorists saying, “There are so many children beneath the benches, go and get them”. SRK had to hold breath while the black boots of the devilish terrorists approached him. He saw death close, so close that the predators were thirsty for blood, the blood of the innocent school going children. This SRK is not the Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan but his namesake, one of the students of the Peshawar army run school.
After the nightmarish attack, SRK survived but still remembers the terror, “The man with big boots kept on looking for students and pumping bullets into their bodies. I lay as still as I could and closed my eyes, waiting to get shot again. My body was shivering. I saw death so close and I will never forget the black boots approaching me — I felt as though it was death that was approaching me.”
It was a black day in the history of Pakistan. It was a black day in the history of humanity even. Donno how many such Shahrukhs have such horrifying and blood stained tales to recall which are sure to haunt them through out life. See how the Pakistan nurtured terrorism has pounced back and turned suicidal. The world will never want our innocent Shahrukhs to face bloody death at such close quarters and be haunted by horror.
