YS Jagan SummonsThe lawyers told the court that AP Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy had not received the summons asking him to appear in Nampally court on Monday.

Responding to this, the court issued orders to serve summons once again to Jagan by the 31st of this month.

The Public Representative Court in Nampally issued summons to the AP CM last Thursday. The court ordered him to appear in court on the 28th (Monday).

A case has been registered against YS Jagan and YSR Congress leaders – Srikanth Reddy and Nagireddy for allegedly violating the election code in Huzur Nagar during the 2014 Assembly elections.

The court issued summons to this effect after examining the allegations of the violation of the election code of conduct.

This is the first time that a special court hearing the cases of MPs and MLAs has issued summons to someone of the chief minister’s rank.

Cases have also been registered against Jagan’s mother Vijayamma and sister Sharmila for violating the election code. It is known that the two have appeared in the same Nampally court several times.
