With Andhra Pradesh government deciding to hold the Independence day event in Vishakapatnam, the city police department is gearing up to prepare a detailed action plan for the celebration. The security concerns have increased with the recent terror attack in Punjab and Yakub Memon’s hanging.
A gathering of 20000-25000 people are expected to attend on RK Beach Road to witness the celebrations. City Police commissioner Amit Garg and district collector N Yuvaraaj are working on the arrangements and security plans.
CCTV Cameras will be installed all along RK Beach. Dog squads and bomb disposal squads will be stationed at every 20 to 30 metres on Beach Road. One platoon from each of the eight AP Special Police battalions will participate in the parade along with non-armed forces like scouts and guides, NCC and NSS.Follow Mirchi9 on Google NewsThis Week Releases on OTT – Check ‘Rating’ Filter
