Share

It is known to our readers that KCR Government is demolishing the Old Secretariat to construct a state-of-the-art Secretariat which is termed as the Dream Project of the Chief Minister. As a part of this demolition, a temple of Konda Pochamma and a mosque in the Secretariat premises were also razed.

Muslim Groups have expressed serious apprehensions over this attitude and threatened to agitate against the Government. CMO immediately sent a press note expressing regret and pain over some inconvenience caused. He declared that a new temple and mosque will be constructed in the new secretariat premises.

However, sources say that the demolition happened as per the plan. A Homam was performed before displacing the idol and the holy Quran in the razed mosque was handed over to the Imam. The Government is taken back by the backlash and announced the construction of Temple and mosque in the new Secretariat.

Construction of the Temple and mosque will mean changing the Blueprint of the new secretariat as they are not previously in the blueprint. On the other side, Telangana High Court passed a stay order on the demolition of the state secretariat till Monday hearing to a PIL.
