Telugu Desam Party has pulled out of the MPTC and ZPTC elections saying that a free and fair election can not happen in Jagan Mohan Reddy’s regime. This has surprised many and there is a divided opinion about if or not that is a good decision to pull out of an election.
Meanwhile, there can not be a perfect opportunity for the Janasena-BJP combine to prove a point here. TDP has vacated the Second spot and it is up for grabs without any competition. Janasena and BJP should perform well to claim it.
Having said that, it is not easy to do that against a ruthless Ruling Party. We have seen a lot of violence and the Ruling Party’s arson against TDP candidates during the nominations last year. Without a grass root level mechanism, it is not easy.
Also, Pawan Kalyan should cancel all his film commitments for the next few days and camp in Andhra Pradesh to canvass for his candidates to earn that respectable number to claim that second spot. It is a great opportunity and we will see if Janasena – BJP combine can make it count.
