YSR Congress is shell-shocked with the result of Nandhyal by-election. More than the loss, it is the majority that it conceded to the ruling party despite Jagan’s 13 days camping in the constituency worries YSR Congress more than anything else.
But the misery does not stop there. The polling for Kakinada Municipal Corporation Elections is currently underway. Nandhyal result will have an impact on voters there and TDP is expecting nothing less than 30 seats out of the total 48 divisions here.
If that happens, it will indicate that TDP’s hold on Godavari districts is intact and the Kapu Reservations issue made no dent. In such case, YSR Congress will be in for a second shock in one week which rattles the confidence of the cadre and leaders.
