TJR Sudhakar Babu - Dr Vundavalli SrideviIt is known to our readers that the Joint Collector had issued a notice to Tadikonda MLA, Undavalli Sridevi to appear before him on the 26th of this month along with documents to prove her caste status. The legislator from Tadikonda had said in an interview that she was a Christian. Now, one more MLA from the Ruling Party has come under similar allegations.

Santhanuthalapadu MLA, TJR Sudhakar Babu is also said to be a Christian but contested from SC Reserved Constituency. There were proofs that he organized Massive Christian Prayers in 2011 wishing Speedy Recovery of Sonia Gandhi and another video of him praying in a Church to make Jagan the Chief Minister also surfaced.

The Legal Rights Protection Forum which has filed a complaint on Vundavalli Sridevi is also gearing up to file another complaint on TJR Sudhakar Babu. Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister, Pamula Pushpa Sreevani also got the notices of High Court. The congress and BJP candidates who fought against her in the recent election knocked on the door of the court alleging that she is not an ST.

According to the rules, any person belongs to the SC community will lose the status if he changes his religion. It is a well-known fact that the Caste system is only found in the Hindu religion. Thus, any person who is a Hindu and also belongs to the SC category shall lose their SC status once converted to Christianity. But those who have converted hide their religion change so as not to lose the Reservation Benefits.

In this case, they can be disqualified if these allegations are found to be true. There are instances by-elections have come in such situations or the nearest rival will be announced the winner.
