Indian Lady Doctor ScamHarsha Sahni, 66, of Tinton Falls, New Jersey, has pleaded guilty to conspiring to hide two aliens (read Indian women) and one count of filing a false tax return. The two women whose identity is not revealed were brought from India to work for Sahni’s family.

While Sahni kept the two women with her, she would pay their Indian relatives money in exchange for their labor. She had instructed the two women to not disclose that they were employed by her. Instead, they were to tell people that they were related to Sahni’s family. The two women were given false names and identities. Meanwhile, Sahni did not pay taxes notwithstanding that the victims were her employees.

The charge of harboring aliens, meaning the two Indian women carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a fine of $250,000 or twice the gross profits or other proceeds of Sahni, whichever is more. The charge of hiding the aliens carries a penalty of three years in prison and a fine of up to $100,000.

After being charged, Sahni has agreed to pay the victims a combined $642, 212 and has agreed to pay about $200,000 for one of the victim’s brain aneurysms. She has also agreed to pay restitution to IRS.
