In what will come as good news for many, the US Citizenship and Immigration Services have opened the initial registration period for the fiscal year 2024. H1-B cap will open at noon Eastern on March 1 and run through noon Eastern on March 17, 2023.
Within this window, prospective petitioners and representatives will be able to complete and submit their registration using the online H1-B registration system.
Last year, more than 4 lakh submissions were made for H1-B visas, though the quota is barely for around 65,000 H1-B visas. Experts believe this year is going to be another record-breaking year as far as submissions are concerned.
This is also the season for scamsters to enter the scene and try to make exorbitant amounts of money by promising to get a H1-b application get picked up using their ’Contacts’ and ‘reliable sources’.
They contact people through mediums like Linkedin and many people fall prey as it is nothing short of luck that will help many get the much sought-after H1-B visa.
These scamsters ask the H1B visa aspirants to transfer huge amounts to their accounts and later they disappear.
