Sasikala’s nephew and AIADMK Deputy General Secretary, TTV Dinakaran is the party’s candidate for the by-election of RK Nagar which has fallen vacant due to the sudden demise of Jayalalithaa. Incidentally, Dinakaran is the man who was expelled by Jaya.
Dinakaran is claiming Jayalalithaa’s legacy after he entered the party following Former Jayalalithaa’s death and Sasikala taking over the party. Dinakaran if he wins the election, may be running for the Chief Minister post and will be the de facto CM of Sasikala who is in Bengaluru Prison.
Since the public sentiment is said to be against Sasikala and family, it will be a big test for Dinakaran. It will be a political suicide if he loses from this seat and if he wins, it will be curtains down for O Paneerselvam.
