At this juncture, Edappadi Palaniswami’s faction is suddenly taken back and are holding talks with O Paneerselvam for a possible merger. This will ensure that they will get the Two Leaves Symbol. The talks have begun already. In all possibility, they will expel Sasikala and Dinakaran or ask them to resign.
The MLAs are said to have realized that fighting with Center is absolutely impossible and sailing with Sasikala and Dinakaran will be dangerous with self-goals like this. Paneerselvam has extended the hand of friendship and Palaniswami faction responded to it almost immediately. The terms are being worked out.
