Congress party which was taken back by the fire accident/incident that took place in Former MP Siricilla Rajaiah’s house and decided to change its candidate for the Warangal by-election. Former Union Minister, Sarve Satyanarayana is confirmed as its candidate and he will be filing his nomination in a short while.
Sarve earlier expected this seat but was denied to him. Sarve who worked as a Union Minister in Congress regime lost the last election contesting from Malkajgiri Loksabha segment. Sarve do not like to contest even though he wished initially but agreed on the insistence of the high command.
Rajaiah’s incident may hit Congress’ image in the by-election very badly. The situation will turn worse if the police manages preliminary evidence against Rajaiah. PCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy himself admitted that this will be a setback to them for sure.
