Sania Mirza, the star tennis player is really having a high time in her career winning tournaments one after the other in 2014 improving her international ranking and hogging limelight for her glamour even. She was crowned Telangana State Brand Ambassador in July, 2014 but the tennis star didn’t take part in any promotional activity quoting her busy tennis schedule.
In this scenario, superstar Amitabh Bachan’s meeting with KCR last Saturday is gaining importance. The superstar was in Hyderabad to receive ANR Award and meanwhile he had a private meeting with KCR at his camp office in Begumpet. It is reported that Big B expressed his willingness to work with Telangana government and render his services if the TS is willing to utilise his services.
A lot of speculations were made that Big B would be roped in as the cultural ambassador of the State. But as per the latest reports, TRS government is interested to rope in the superstar as Brand Ambassador exclusively for promoting industries in the State. In the wake of upcoming Partnership Summit, Telangana government is going to host during March-April, 2015, utilising Amitabh’s services would be appropriate to attract investors who would be attending the summit from 160 countries across the globe.
Though it seems so simple as that, it is evident that Sania Mirza though honoured for being a Telanganite, couldn’t keep up the promises made and promote Brand Telangana quoting busy schedule but was seen in many other events promoting private endorsements and others of the same kind. Seems the Taj (crown) is moving away from her. The deal with Big B is going to be finalised soon according to the latest reports.
