Ramoji Rao’s Eenadu, the other day, published an article about how Jagan changed the word about Bhogapuram International Airport. Eenadu published Jagan’s statements in 2019 and now exposing the double talk.
Sakshi published a counter today saying that Jagan did not oppose the project but only opposed the forcible land acquisition.

The article mentions that land acquisition was decreased to 2,203 acres by Jagan. That actual reason is different.
Chandrababu’s Bhogapuram plan was much more ambitious. Naidu planned to develop the mega aerotropolis consisting of Bhogapuram Airport, cargo facilities, an MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) facility, and an aviation academy.
Jagan is now only taking up a namesake airport construction and dropped the rest of the project since he can not finish the land acquisition by convincing the farmers.
Sakshi did not comment on why tenders to GMR group were not canceled after Jagan came to power since he claimed irregularities in the tenders back then. All in all, it was a poor response by Sakshi.
Sakshi used words like ‘Edupu’, ‘Yellow Muta’, etc to spice up the article.
Anyways, leaving aside the counters, Jagan Government successfully passed time for four years and now, laid the stone just before the elections.
Let us see how much the airport construction will progress before the elections.
