Chandrababu Naidu’s Padayatra in Kandukur has unfortunately resulted in a stampede and six people were killed and a few people were hospitalized.
As soon as the incident happened, Chandrababu Naidu rushed to the Hospital and announced ex-gratia. The ex-gratia has been increased to 23 Lakhs this morning.
Naidu also fed food to vultures with this incident. Minutes after the incident occurred, YSR Congress social media is on a overrun trying to propagate that Chandrababu continued the meeting despite the deaths.
But then, TV Channels were already showing Naidu in hospital by then. The videos also clearly showed how he clearly told he will start the meeting only after knowing the condition of those taken to hospital and once it is known, the speech never started.
And then, Sakshi was continuously airing stories of how the Road show meeting was planned in a thirty feet road instead of a nearby 100 feet road just for the sake of drone visuals. Sakshi Newspaper also carried the same version.
Assuming it to be true, then Government can not escape responsibility. Any meeting across the state needs Prior police permission. Also, the schedule of Chandrababu’s tour was also released to media couple of days before.
The Police should have rejected permission but they did not do. So, the department can not escape responsibility. Further, the responsibility increases when a Z Category protectee like Naidu is coming.
Not speaking about it, Sakshi and YSR Congress are trying to use the deaths for Political gains.
This incident may be also used to reject permissions for upcoming tours of Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh’s Padayatra.
