From the past few days, there are rumours that BJP Mahila Morcha President Daggubati Purandeshwari‘s son Hitesh is likely to join YSR Congress for Parchur Ticket and Purandeshwari is likely to follow him. She neither denied nor agreed to those rumours fueling the speculations in the Political Circles.
In what looks like a bid to pacify her, BJP has made her the Chairperson of the Party’s Andhra Pradesh Manifesto Committee. IYR Krishna Rao who joined the party recently was made the Convenor of the same committee. It has to be seen if Purandeshwari will be satisfied with this Promotion in the party.
Purandeshwari previously contested and won twice from Andhra Pradesh in the Lok Sabha Elections on Congress Ticket. She may struggle even to get deposit if contested on BJP ticket in the current circumstances. The party may have to retain her promising a Rajya Sabha berth if she is still not satisfied.
