RSS Mohan Bhagwat Amith Shah All India Meet TelanganaTelangana BJP is a damp squid in the state politics despite the presence of a huge vacuum in the Opposition. However, its ideological mentor, RSS is steadily expanding its presence in Telangana. RSS has chosen Telangana to hold its All India Executive Council meeting and it was attended by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and BJP national president Amit Shah.

It is said that RSS has achieved a 35 percent overall rise in enrolment and participation in the state. From about 1,600 shakhas (branches), the RSS now, has 2,308 shakhas in Telangana, reaching about 6,500 villages of the 9,000 odd villages in Telangana indicating the prominence of the newest state to the Sangh Pariwar.

RSS is keen on pursuing its Social Engineering and Communal Agenda in the state. It has conducted a survey in some villages in Telangana to find out disparities in admission into temples, funeral rights and availability of drinking water and it will fight on the issues to create a sense of unity among all castes to strengthen the Hindu religion.

RSS is keen on holding regular shakha meetings to attract more people into the sangh which they perceive will automatically strengthen the saffron party to make it as a force to be reckoned with during the 2019 assembly elections. RSS is prominent in the state even before Independence, had formed its Telangana wing way back in the 1990s
