Supreme Court had taken up the case of Nagari MLA, Roja over her suspension from the state assembly. Lawyers of Roja have informed the court that they have sent the apology letter to the Assembly Secretary but the Assembly lawyer confirmed that they did not receive any.
Roja lawyers have handed over the letter directly to the Assembly counsel. The court has directed the counsel to send the letter to the concerned department and resolve the issue as soon as possible. The court directed Roja to resolve the issue in the Hyderabad High court where the issue is pending.
Even though the courts have intervened, it is totally the prerogative of the Assembly Speaker to decide on the issue as the Assembly does not come under the purview of the Assembly Speaker to decide upon the members regarding their conduct inside the house.
