Congress High Command for the first time is planning to appoint a Campaign Committee in Telangana ahead of the 2019 elections. Revanth Reddy is likely to lead the committee. He along with former Cricketer Azharuddin and Former MP Vijaya Shanti are likely to be the star campaigners for the party.
They will be the members of the committee along with party seniors. Vijaya Shanthi joined Congress just before 2014 elections and is mostly inactive in politics after losing last elections. She is formerly close to KCR and is now expected to revive Congress fortunes.
Azharuddin on the other side, except for the fact residing in Hyderabad, the banned Cricketer never really had a connection with Telangana Congress or people here. But he is expected to attract the Muslim voters towards the party.
AICC is likely to announce this committee sometime in 2018 and will sound the poll beagle. On the other side, the ruling TRS party is keenly watching the developments in Congress and will look to muzzle Congress somehow or other.
