Revanth Reddy Quitting TDP (TS) has brought a stir in Telangana Politics and Kodangal By-Election will mean that it has potential to change the political alignment before 2014 elections. TDP (TS) has certainly lost its option of survival.
TRS, the ruling party will be happy in a way because it nullified TDP totally, a mission they started immediately after winning 2014 elections. Congress, the main opposition party is delighted that they have got their Baahubali to fight 2019.
But then, the only loser is going to be BJP in this episode. BJP could not grab Revanth Reddy even though it has the power at the center. Revanth winning Kodangal and becoming an alternative for KCR will mean that BJP’s chances are finished.
Further, Revanth has a special mojo among vote banks. His emerging as a State-level leader will mean that Congress will eat into the vote bank of BJP in Hyderabad and Rangareddy. Also, Congress growing here will mean only trouble for BJP even at the center.
