Supreme Court is contemplating investigating the Encounter of the accused in Disha’s case with a Retired Supreme Court Judge. Chief Justice SA Bobde went on to say that the Retired Judge will be in Delhi and investigate the case. The apex court asked the opinion of the Telangana Government on this and posted the hearing to tomorrow.
Cyberabad Commissioner of Police CP Sajjanar attended the Supreme Court hearing today. It is known that a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was filed in the Supreme Court against the encounter of accused in Disha’s case. The petitioners GS Mani and Pradeep Kumar Yadav sought action against the police officer for killing the accused.
Sajjanar is also one of the respondents in the petition along with the Central government and the state government. On the other side, there are rumors in the Regional media that three out of the four accused who were shot dead are minors. But the Police refute these claims.
However, the parents claim that their sons were minors. They have even submitted the proofs of age to the National Human Rights Commission Team.
