To make things worse, they did not apply for pension with Telangana government as they fear they may lose two years service benefit. But the division of the doctors between both the states is seen no where near. As many as 20 doctors of AP origin retired from 11 city-based medical teaching colleges after the bifurcation.

The Kamalnathan committee formed for the division of employees between both the states is making no progress. The doctors now planning to knock the door of the courts. Interestingly, their Telangana counterparts posted in AP medical teaching college are deriving the benefit of 60 years retirement rule even after they crossed 58 years.
