Jagan -AP- High CourtAndhra Pradesh High Court had delivered a crucial judgment in the wake of the Local Elections. The court instructed the officials to remove YSR Congress Colours from all Government buildings across the state. The Court had given ten days’ time starting from today.

The court had asked the Chief Secretary to implement the orders and give a complete report of it. This order comes two days after the State Election Commissioner said that the commission does not feel the party colors will influence the voters hence need not be removed.

The court asked the Election Commission to co-operate free and fair elections. It has also canceled the memo given by Panchayati Raj Commissioner to paint all Government buildings in YSR Congress colors. The High Court gave these orders after listening to a petition by Muppa Venkateswararao from Pallapaadu, Guntur district.

A whopping 1300 Crore has been spent to paint all the Government buildings in Andhra Pradesh. Now the re-painting will also cost huge. Moreover, this is a headache for officials ahead of the Local elections in the state. The local elections are happening in three phases and the entire exercise will finish by the 29th of this month.
