Relief for Ex-BCCI Chief in Jagan's caseHyderabad high court had exempted India Cements MD and Former BCCI President, N.Srinivas from appearing before the trial court in Jaganmohan Reddy assets case until further orders. With these orders in place, the CBI Court now cannot frame charges against him in the case as it can be done only in the presence of the accused.

CBI alleged that Jagan influenced his father, the then chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy to allot 2.6 acre of land in Kadapa district to and huge water allotments granted to India Cements. Srinivasan in return had invested Rs 140 crore in Jagan firms like Bharati Cements etc.

Srinivasan’s attorney argued that all the decisions were taken by India Cements company with the support of board resolutions within the legal parameters and for that reason, Srinivas can not be held responsible.
