YSR Congress is known as a Reddy Community party for obvious reasons. All the important posts and most nominated posts have gone to the Reddy community while the BCs, SCs, and others were given namesake posts just to showcase the numbers.
Even then, Reddy community leaders themselves are feeling suffocated in the party. For instance, four MLAs – Undavalli Sridevi, Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy, Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, and Anam Ram Narayana Reddy have defied the party and are operating independently for now.
Except for Sridevi, all three are from the Reddy community.
Balineni Srinivasa Reddy has resigned from the party post and the other day burst out emotionally in a Press conference saying that some people in the party are conspiring against him.
Balineni is the senior leader and Jagan’s relative. Even then, he is not spared.
Vijayasai Reddy is Jagan’s close aide. He is the former auditor of Jagan and is A2 in all disproportionate cases of Jagan. He also went to jail along with Jagan for many months.
Sai Reddy increased enemies for himself as he made the enemies of Jagan his own.
Even then, Jagan sidelined Vijayasai Reddy completely and shunted him out of the party.
“If this is the position of the Reddy leaders in the party, just imagine the plight of the backward and scheduled caste leaders in the party. No one can survive in this party except for the Tadepalli Palace inmates,” the party leaders are saying.
