USA had recorded a 30% growth of Indian students studying in its Universities. The country now hosts a record 132,888 Indian students and they are estimated to contribute more than $3.6 billion to the American economy,
China still leads the charts with 304,040 students studying in US. But the country only witnessed a growth of 11% this year which means Indian students outpaced China this year.
Both the countries put together constitute to nearly 45 per cent of the total number of international students in US higher education. Institue of International Education had published this report, the latest Open Doors Report on International Educational Exchange.
